Over 15 years’ experience in footwear design and product development
Beatriz has been working in footwear design for over 15 years, deciding on shapes, materials and finishes before each shoe reaches the shop.
She began her career at Pedro Iniesta, where she spent six years as Head of Design, and continued in the same role at Trencal Shoes. From there, she moved to HO Soccer International, where she was Co-Head of Product for four years, a period during which she combined design and management at a more strategic level.
Following that, she also specialised in eco-design as Head of Product Development at Bolsalea, broadening her technical expertise to include sustainability and materials management.
She has been part of the Yokono team since October 2025, where her role involves interpreting each season’s trends and translating them into collections that retain the brand’s distinctive style: honest, comfortable and durable footwear.
It is this first-hand knowledge that she shares on the Yokono blog: how to choose leather, why a particular last is comfortable, what makes a collection work, and how to style the season’s footwear.
